Switchfoot severed ties with Columbia Records in August (2007). Then the band did a fall tour with Relient K and Ruth dubbed the The Appetite for Construction Tour that same year to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The song Rebuild was written by Jon Foreman and Relient K's Matt Thiessen for the concert tour.
